that's my take on it anyways....

So I need to pull all the wires out and run them down from the relay to the fan and how to I check to see if the relay is getting a signal?

Well used a meter, the plug at the fan is good, we then looked for connectivty and we had none from the plug to the relay center. Thats alot of wire and its likly that the break may be in the relay box. I just may run a wire and switch to the battery and fan. This saturn has 266,250 miles and is really one big break down from the junk yard.

If you're lacking connectivity between the relay and the fan, rewire from the low side of the relay to the fan and you should be good to go, no? Just make sure the wire is low enough gauge to handle the current drawn by the motor.

Jumper it in the driveway to see if it'll work. Less work than wiring up a new circuit to the motor......save that as a last resort.
