Cooling Fan Help, need the next step
1999 SL2 Cooling fan is not coming on and I have a check engine light on. What I have done so far:
Pulled Fan and jump it to the battery the fan does come on.
Checked all the fuses, none are burned out.
Replaced Coolent Temp sensor. (that fixed the check engine light)
I then ran the engine to it hit the 3/4 mark on the temp gauge. I also turned on the A/C full power with the recycle on. The Fan is still not coming on. What part do I need to replace next?

Ok I looked in the fuse/Relay center. I see a bunch of fuses and 2 square grey boxs that don't look like fuses. One is for the A/C the other the cooling fan. I noticed that both are the same, they have the same numbers ect... So I took the one from the cooling fan and moved it to the A/C to see if it work and it did. Any ideas?

So the one from the fan relay slot WORKS in the A/C relay slot? Or did you mean the other way around?
(If you meant the other way around, then yes, the fan relay is bad and needs replacing.)
If what you typed is correct, then the plot thickens......it points to the fact that either the fan relay is not getting a signal to close (which enables fan motor), or that the relay IS getting a signal to close and there is a wiring issue between the relay and the fan itself.....

OOOPs -- Derf's right.
My bad, I understood you to say the relay from the A/C socket (when placed in the fan socket) allows the cooling fan to operate.
If the original relay from the cooling fan socket works in the A/C socket, we may have a different problem.
