Nice!
FYI, the Dorman part is metal (which did surprise me). However, I like how you've got that washer which also applies some clamping force to the intake. That's the one thing I don't like with this fix, that corner is basically left floating. Time will tell with that, but so far the cooling system has been doing well. I'm just still flushing the system, going to go do a drain and fill tomorrow.

After finishing the job I realized I could have just cut off the tube at the split and clamped the hose or an extension on it

I'm too old and crippled up to ride anymore. Spent almost 40 years riding BSA, Triumph, Norton and Harleys. Last 3 were all new (95 and later) Triumphs.


Me circa 1993 with a 1973 750 Bonnivile I restored.

A buddy of mine had one like that. His was more or an orange color. I loved the sound of that old thumper!
