how do you get thecodes on a saturn i have a 1994 sl1 and i do not have the money to buy the tool to get the codes that way so is there a way do do the like you can on dodges and chevys

According to the Haynes repair manual:



Jump terminals B and A 0n the ALDL (Assembly Line Data Link), which is
located under the driver's side dashboard, near the kick panel.



The ignition should be on, but the engine should not be running.



The unit will flash Code 12 three times and then it will flash any stored trouble codes.



To clear the codes from memory, pull the battery cable for 10 seconds.



Haynes #87010 has a complete listing of the codes.
