clutch install and tranny alignment

clutch has been installed . tranny is inplace sorta . i can only get 3 bolts threaded , then the rest of the tranny is crooked where i cant even thread the rest of the bolts. its as if theres sumthin in the way of the tranny and the block where its not lettin the tranny sit flush with the block . theres nuthing inside that can be gettin hung up cuz the clutch is all bolted in place . throw out bearing seemed 2 go into place fine . so much harder than a honda !!! argh !!! lmk techs thanx !

make sure the engine is aligned properly.... i assumeit hung up with a hoist or board, etc. If it's hangin too low or twisted it could make things more difficult. you said the throwout bearing is in there good, so that means the lever for the bearing is prolly in there correctly. Get a buddy to help shine a light and see if all the dowels are lining up and going into place. Where exaclty on the tranny is it not mating with the block?

thanx 4 the reply . i took it back apart and tried again and it work . car runs fine thanx- josh
