hey i have a problem with my second gear. when i try to shift from 1st to 2nd i cant. it wont go in gear i have to push the clutch down a couple time then it goes in and i continue on through the rest of the gears. Shifting into 2nd gear is the only problemEdited by: hkn royalt

 

sounds like a syncro to me

 

so then how would i fix that? and what exactly is a syncro?

I have a 2000 SL, it had a syncro problem while it was still under warantee, so I am not sure of the cost, it now has 120000 miles, and when the engine is very cold (winter) it has issues again, but when the engine wams up it shifts fine. They have to go into the transmission to the fix the problem, so it will not be cheap.
