everytime i turn on my a/c it blows a fuse ?? i read that low freon can cause this , but u can`t check freon level if the compressor isn`t engaged and the compressor can`t engage with a blown fuse ?? any suggestions ,, also if it is of any help recently the radiator fan doesn`t want to come on unless u turn on the a/c even the a/c isn`t working ??

 

An empty or low amount of refrigerant will not causeyour a/c system to blow fuses despite misinformation you came across. There is an electrical short that is causing the a/c fuse to blow and efforts should be made to find the cause of this short circuit. Without an electrical diagram or an idea of how a/c electrical systems are wired you would have to troubleshoot by disconnecting wiring in certain places such as the a/c relay and the compressor and test the wiring with a multimeter to measure voltages. Isolating parts of the wiring will allow you to determine where the electrical short exists.In conclusion it may be the compressor clutch, the a/c relay, or the wiring. Either visually inspecting the wiring or testing for voltages at certain places while disconnecting the wiring will reveal the origin of the electrical short. Using a multimeter will help tremendously here.

 

electrical short is either on the top of compressor, mostly likely or at the AC relay.

 

when u say on top of the compressor do ui mean there is a wire touching on it somewhere ??
