i have a ''''98 SL1. a week ago my shifter button decided not to work anymore. when im in drive the button has no resistance when pressed an no longer stops from goin into reverse from neutral. wuts the problem did a clip break or a spring let go?

Sounds like somethings broken inside the ****. Remove it and check it out.
