99 SL2 won't start

Default 99 SL2 won't start

My key recently had gotten stuck in my ignition. Finally after a day or two got the key and cylinder lock out. Bought a new cylinder lock and housing with a new key on ebay put everything housing and all in car. Now won't start please help.
has power when I turn over now nothing no crank just shows the battery works

Try a passlock relearn procedure. Will probably require the 30-minute version. Be sure to hook your battery up to a battery charger or another running vehicle's battery. Your battery will go dead doing the 30 minute version before you can finish.

Search passlock relearn on this forum and on Google. It is the same across GM vehicles. The version on your car is passlock 2

Thank You so much . I have tried it but not sure if I did this correctly . I will try again. Do hold the key like I'm trying to start it for each 10 min?

No.

Read the directions very carefully and execute them absolutely literally the way they are written.

For that step, you turn the key to start, then back to run, this triggers security which expires in 10 minutes. That's why the light goes out. Then you do it again.

Follow the directions exactly as written or this will not work
