I have a 96 sl2 auto that wont start. All lights come on but wont crank, i know battery and connections, starter, alternator are all good. Clicking noise coming from under the dash on the drivers side. Ive had this problem before and got it going again by swapping a couple of relays under the hood(the big green 30 ones). Im not really sure if the relays were the problem though. lights do not dim when i try to start and everything seems to have full power but it still wont crank. Ive checked the fuses under the hood and under the dash on the passenger side and all were fine. Anyone know what this could be? Please help my car is sitting in the parking lot of my girlfriends work and i gotta get it out before it gets towed.

 

If you turn on the lights and trying to start the car, leaving the lights on, what happens to the lights?

 

the lights stay on and dont get dimmer
