I noticed a noise from under the hood that sounds like a small electric motor running. I can here it when I am in nuetral and it will make the noise when I shift into R or D but it will only run for a second or 2 if I don't roll but when I take off it will constantly make the noise. Checking under the hood the noise sounds like it is coming form the tranny area but I can't be sure. Is this normal or is it something I should be concerned about? Thanks

 

It could be the solenoids in the transmission. They shouldnt make that sound all the time though.Edited by: Low Saturn
