Default 2nd coolant temp sensor location found?

1996 sw2 wagon i am wondering that if i found a second coolant temp sensor located on the back side of the engine underneath the intake manifold in the center facing the firewall only way to see it is from underneath it has a single thin lightbrown wire going to it. i have found on the autozones repair guide that 91-95 had two 96+ just one with two wires which i had replaced its on the driver side of the engine so if anyone knows if this could be or what it is mitchell online sucks and has no diagrams to show.

Indeed that is not a 2nd coolant temp sensor, as 95 was the last year the S car engines had 2.

Can you post a pic? Otherwise I have to get under my 97 to look at it..and that takes effort on my part......

With only one wire(normally blue),it may be a knock sensor, at that location.
