I bought my mom a 2002 SL2 which she has now decided to sell. I has been garaged in Southern Illinois and obviously driven only locally. She advised me today that she has finally made the decision to sell her "Charley" as she named it.
I'm thinking of listing it on ebay. What price would I list it for considering its age vs milage.
The car is silver and has no dents, dings or wear. I seriously doubt she ever drove it over 40.

 

What condition are the tires, belts and hoses? How long has it been since it was run?

 

Everything original except battery. had some corrosion on cables but I changed the cables and battery about 6 months ago. No plates but drove it around the parking lot. Runs great. I did not see any cracking on tires, belts and hoses. I would have no problem driving this car to Alaska.

 

What "options" are on the car, such as leather, sunroof, or spoiler? What color is the car? White and silver being the number one choice. Gold and green being the least loved. Has the car any damage or has it ever had damage repair? Anyone thinking about paying a premium for a low mileage car wants as much information as possible. They want pictures of everything front to back top to bottom. That included the trunk, engine, carpets, floormats, and headliner along with vizors. The less info you give buyers the less you'll get for the car.

 

Automatic or manual? Any significant options such as premium audio package, alloy wheels, sunroof etc. You can check the blue book at www.kbb.com. Use the private seller price as the buy it now price and subtract 10% from the private sale price as the reserve price.

Take plenty of pictures and post a link to the ebay add in this web site and on any other Saturn Forums that may exist. Someone might need a replacement for a long loved Saturn they had.

Avoid craigslist, too many scammers and crooks prey on sellers on that site.

 

Hi Joe, Its a 2002 SL2, silver, grey cloth. one small dent about 1/8 to 1/4" on trunk. Option 2 package. PS,PW,PM,Cruise, Sunroof.
I will get out there in next few weeks to photo and prep.

Its an automatic. wish it were a stick, I would want it for myself.
It has am/fm cd and maybe premium sound. will check.
