Default 2002 SL1 Tint Delaminating Issue?

Howdy y'all,

I have a 2002 Saturn SL1 and the tint on the back window seems to be delaminating.
As far as I know, the tint on the vehical is 100% original.

I was going to include a picture, but the camera is not picking it up.
Basically, the view from the rear view mirror is foggy and webbed, looking very similar to a bad tint job.
The issue is most visible at night, early mornings, or otherwise low light situations.

Has anyone seen this before and/or know the best way to fix it?

Rear tint was never an option of which I am aware.
The only rear tint I've ever seen on Saturns is aftermarket.

How long have you owned the vehicle?

I figured that might be the case.
It doesn't look like a typical bad tint job.

We've had the vehicle since 2006ish.
As far as I can see, there is no evidence of any physical film that has bubbled up, just the distorted, wavy, fogged, resemblance of a bad tint job.

How do factories tint stock glass?
The issue seems to have appeared out of nowhere, very recently.
Since it's such an old car, I wonder if something in the rear glass has broken down chemically.

Maybe it is your rear view mirror.
