Hey guys!!

I am new to the forums, i just bought a 2000 Saturn SL2 for a daily driver(i've got a Pontiac Firebird that i drive in the summer) Anyways, the saturn runs amazing!! By far the best and most reliable car i have owned. All i have needed to replace on it has been front brakes and the car already has 70k on it!!! Anyways, the only thing that bugs me about it is sometimes after running the car for a half hour or so, when i stop at a stop light the idle slowly climbs its way into the 2000 RPM's range, and its usual idle is about 600-700 RPM's. Is there any way to find out why this is happening?? I am new to these cars, so any help is much appreciated!!

Thanks guys,

Tim

Could be a stuck throttle body. I had the same problem once on my 92 SL2. Just cleaned it real well and it ran fine afterward. Also, check your air intakes and look for leaks around the intake manifold.
