I have a 1999 SL1 and the drivers side door lock doesnt work with the keyless remote. I took the door panel off and I see the one end of the rod that connects to the door handle is attached but the other end is not attached to anything. I cannot see inside the door to reattachit so my question is, does anyone know what this reattaches to? Without being able to see inside the door I am trying to do this by feel but when I am not sure what I am looking for. Any help would be appreciated.

Once you remove the door handle, and the door skin you'll be able to see everything.First stop at your Saturn dealer to get the rod fasteners.

Thanks for your reply. I have already removed the doorpanel but I still cant see inside to see what the rod attaches to. There is a plastic piece attached to the end of the rod but I cant see what it went into. Are you talking about the door panel or the actual inside skin of the door?

The outside door skin.............Lift the handle up and you'll see a small pin. Remove the pin, remove the handle. Then the door skin unscrews from inside of the door with TORX fasteners. Easy to do.
