How on earth did I forget about the cat con heat shield that comes as part of the cat and is held on by industrial strength chicken wire?

I'm just trying to think outside of the box, or in this case the engine compartment. Rattles can be mysterious.

Another thing that rattles on my Saturn is the rod that holds the hood up. The plastic thing that holds the rod down when not in use is broken so it rattles at idle between the cross brace and the hood.

The window crank on my front passenger door was a bit loose and rattling. I pulled the handle off and put a fiber washer behind it, which stopped the rattle. But I'd like to know how you tighten it. That would probably be better than what I did. Wasn't ready to take the door apart; I'll do that when I replace the front speakers. One of them is showing its age. Anyway, I'd like to be able to tighten the crank while I have the door liner out. The fiber washer works (it's one of those that you put on the battery terminals) but you can see the edge of it peeking around the crank.
