I cant cancel the order it shipped. Looking around, i'm not sure if evey one using Motorad housings , but almost every thermostat housing i'm seeing as motorad . I will order Stant thermostat. Not sure how the remove old thermostat and put new thermostat in the old housing.

I wonder if Motorad is the manufacturer of the thermostat housing and Gates installs one of their thermostats. It says Motorad and Germany on the housing.

That what i'm thinking. Housing Motorad and Gates installs one of their thermostats. I looked around on auto zone, napa and O'Reilly's. All there pics show housing labeled with Motorad made in Germany as well

If you search the internet, you will find many have suffered the same fate as myself. I don't expect you to believe one experience from one person defines it as a dud. I found out after I purchased mine and installed it.

I'd suggest flushing and back flushing the heater core too, but that's just me. BUT, if you don't know how to replace the thermostat and housing, you'd best not attempt that either. Sounds like you need to take it to a REPUTABLE shop if you know of one. Here's a how to video on the thermostat replacement.

Depends what's there.
I think the OEM stants from Germany fit the OEM housings. (Duh)

I think the newer stants are bigger.

You'll have to research this on Saturnfans.com. The answer is in there
