My Saturn 2002 L-100 is leaking water all over the passenger floor, bad enough to soak to the back floor. I have read several "fixes" to unclog the hose.....but I can't find the darn hose!! Is it behind the firewall on the inside or is it outside? I'd love to give it a try myself before I pay the big bucks. IF I have to take it to a shop, I'd at least like to know abit more, so they don't think I'm a complete blonde. $$$ Thanks so much......PS LOVE my Saturn.

 

O.K., I looked this up in my service literature and it does not cover this area. Means nothing except my literature is not up to date. An internet search for this problem seems to indicate this is related to a cabin filter. something none of my cars have. I don't know here any of these things are. Do you have an owners manual, look up cabin filter to see where that is. If you can. Usually something of this type needs to be replaced so you should know where it is.
Go by Checkers, O'Reilly, or Auto Zone and see if you can by service manual for car, Chilton, Mitchels, what ever.
Frankly it sounds like a poor design problems agrevated by high humidity and dirt collected in a cabin filter. Needs un-plugging and cleaning and maybe a new filter.
Don't know. Maybe some one else has a better answer. I have had them plug, but on my cars easy to find, not a big deal and nothing to worry about. Also sounds like including a cabin filter is an accountants version of a good automtive design. Wish that they would leave auto design to the auto designers, but probably too late now. Too many auto companies have been driven out of business by bad accounting.
