no hi-speed on blower fan

Hi Folks,
On my 2001 L100, A/C no longer works (ie. only hot air) which is ok because now winter is coming. Trouble is the fan only blows on 3 of the 4 speed settings. Hi speed does nothing but the other 3 speeds work fine. I replaced the entire switch assembly but the same problem.
Any ideas?
