Default L 200 a/c

Trying to hit 300k ( 295K ) and this may be the deciding factor if it happens. AC stopping blowing cold. I assumed it was the freon. Installed enough to fix the problem....but still blows slightly cool air. Not enough to matter though. Any ideas?

It's probably a compressor... A/C or not, the L series are pretty good cars... 300k was the goal for my old one, but she fell short... The timing chain tensioner failed at 262k...

do a loan a tool from autozone or similar for a set of AC gauges. Read the hi and low side pressures and post them here.

Could be the compressor is worn, per bones. Could be a small leak that is preventing the system from maintaining the desired system pressure differential to cool the air.

Proper pressures are about 200 hi/ 35 low w compressor engaged.
The true "expected" readings depend on ambient air temp.
SLIGHT overpressurizing of the system (at your own risk) may get you to where you need to be w r t cool enough air.

You also may wish to add refrig +dye and then check for leaks with a uv light.
