Default A few questions

Hello,

Im going to be purchasing a 2000 saturn LS (im not sure how to tell the difference between the LS , LS1, and LS2) - can you explain that one?

It needs a few things done to it..

1. the intermittent wipers dont work.. the regular wipers work but dont return to the home position when you turn it off so its a fun game of timing it right.

2. the emergency brake cable is snapped because it locked up and couldnt figure how to get it free - dunno if it will lock if i re-install it.

3. the interior door handles are broken? they hang out all the time like the cable is broken? is this a hard fix? and where can i buy parts. i had no luck looking online.

4. the drivers seat cushion is shot or something it sits way deep compared to the passenger seat and pick n pull said its 42 bucks for another one. is this a hard part to put in?

sorry for all the questions but i dont know jack about saturns lol.

Thanks,

Matt

1. Lemmie look in my book, and I'll get back to you on this.

2.

3. Go to local GM dealer that might have sucked up a closing Saturn dealership

4. Not difficult, but you're gonna need to buy a Manual for you car to proceed

thanks for the reply, i looked about the wipers alot on my own and the only thing i got replies on was the whole wiper motor needed replacing because it had an intermittent board inside?

also the drivers seat isnt powered so i figured it would just be 4 post bolts to get it out unless saturn does something "cool"

the handles i was looking more to get a OEM kit, but i was also looking at pick n pull, if i can get the door apart (goodluck) its 12.99 a side.

Standard equipment like power windows, and if we can take the time to look everything up so can you.

Matt --

With respect to your intermittant wipers, it's most likely a defective connection in the wiring at the wiper module, however, it could also be a bad control switch in the steering column. I'm assuming you have purchased a Haynes/Chilton manual by now -- break out the meter, and start tracing the circuit .........
