If you are OK with the dash light brightness not being adjustable,
I found that if you disable the potentiometer, the lights are on full bright with no flickering.
I found this out when i accidently broke one of the contact fingers when trying to clean the potentiometer.
I achieved the same result in another L300 by covering the finger contact area with tape.

Thanks for the advice. I may have to do that as my vision problem makes working on/pulling out that junction box difficult. So, yeah, I may have to do that. In the past, back when the brightness control worked, they were just sooooo bright. I might try to find the supply lead to the dash light assembly and put a resistor in series to dim them 40% or so.

If you can't click around and find what you want take it somewhere that knows what they are doing. I normally give the manual and expect you to find what you want. Don't expect us to hold your hand.
