I have a2000 L series saturn when i start my car the rpm shoots all the way to 3.5k rpm and stayswhat could cause this other than a vacum leak ive looked for a vacum leak and found nothingim new to saturns and was wondering if there are trouble spots that i should knowEdited by: johnethomas

 

does it go back down after the car warms up?

 

Check the idle speed control valve on the throttle body.
