Default 2000 Saturn lw1

2000 Saturn lw1. Has very little to no fuel pressure. Fuel pump was recently replaced (before I started working on the car). Won’t start. Gauge reads zero at the fuel rail but some does come out. Testing the connection at the fuel pump I’m only getting 5 volts. Doing a voltage drop test it seems I’m losing 7 volts on the positive side of the circuit. So I ran a wire straight from the battery to the the fuel pump to have direct 12 volts. And still no pressure. I don’t understand help!!! You can hear the fuel pump kick on and also has a new fuel filter. Voltage drop test at the pump also indicates the grounds are good

I suspect that the new fuel pump may have failed due to low voltage.
