Default 2000 LS1 2.2L issues

Hi guys!
My LS1 has almost 85k on it. Have a couple issues.
First, with oil on my spark plugs. Already changed the valve cover gasket and plug tube seals but they're still getting fouled up and there's still oil on the threads. Not sure what to check next.
Second, have a coolant drip, I think its coming from the weephole so I'm planning on replacing my water pump. Would this cause a bubbling/gurgling sound on start up or should I be adding some parts to my list?

Did you use Felpro gaskets? If not use quality parts to avoid doing it over. The water pump replacement is not complicated but you need to purchase a tool to hold the timing chain. I can list the one I own for this job. You will also need an obscure gasket set for the thermostat housing to head. If the coolant is leaking on the transmission where the passenger side axle comes out of the transmission, it is the pump.

Yes, fel-pro is what I used, didn't want to cheap out on something like that. And yes, that's exactly where I'm seeing coolany drip out. Good to know, thanks. Did you use a Lisle 13800 for the sprocket? Otherwise I might spring for the OTC 6616 even though it's pricey and I might not use it for another few years. Definitely would love any other tool suggestions if you have them.

I bought a full circle clone tool from Amazon many years ago. Your valve cover may be warped, I have had many of these engines with no leaks.

I would never have thought of warping, thanks. That would suck, and I don't have a straight-edge or a nice flat workbench to check that with. I'll have to figure it out. What about valve seals? Bought it from an old lady, seemed to do maintenance on it but I'm not sure I've heard of anyone bothering to replace them, nevermind someone living on limited retirement income.
