Default 195/55/r16 tires on 2000 SL1

I know that this has been covered. I saw a thread that stated that saturn ion 16 inch wheels with 195/55r16 tires will fit SL1 cars without a problem. Can anyone verify this? Pulling the trigger tomorrow for a set of tires. From my measurements, there is plenty of room, width and height wise.

Thanks,
Rob

Ok, installed the tires and wheels and they fit with no rubbing. The speedometer is off a little. At 84 the speedo reads 80mph.

Give me a little bit for the pics. The only nice days we have had in the last two months have been spent finishing up with harvest.

I will say this, while the car drives better and handles the curves better, I have lost about 3 mpg due to the heavier wheels and slightly wider and taller tires. I'm still getting around 35-37mpg, but not 40. This may be due to the cold weather as well. It seems you always lose a little in the winter. Before anyone suggests it, I keep the car in the garage, so no increase in idling in the winter.

Looks great, Rob. I wonder if a set would fit my LW200? Hmmmmm, I may have to go to the junkyard in the next couple of weeks.

Six Ions at the pull a part in Nashville. Now I have to try to convince the wife to let me sell some of her jewelry so I can get some money and go.

Wait, isn't your lug pattern 5x110? That is the same as the redline, not the base model. Base is 4x100
