Hi,

First time poster... I have a 2003 Saturn L200 and its been doing a strange thing over the past year. Its happened three times since last summer.

What happens is when you try to start the car, it will start for a few seconds and then shut off. There are no security warning lights. Also, the door locks no longer work and all interior lights won't turn on. There also seems to be a clicking that is coming from the glove box.

I had it into the car shop and they couldn't find anything. We didn't replace any parts (including the BCM).

What we did find to fix it is to disconnect the battery cables and touch them together. Once you do that and reconnect the cables, the car starts and acts normal.

Any thoughts? Could it be the ignition switch going bad?

Any help would be appreciated.
