Default 02 saturn L 100 special edition tail light issue

Hey guys & gals,Brad here, my wife has a L100 special edition that has a gremlin in the rear tail light. The TL assembly has only 1 plug with ALL wire entering at that point, the bulb holders have NO wires going to them at all there is a blk holder and a grey holder, the GREYone is the one with the issues. it is a two filament bulb holder there in is the problem only ONE side of said holder works ie the brake light side with a new bulb in place mind you. I have cleaned the contacts and still nothing.
I am at a loss any advice would be welcome.

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Brad abcm@bellsouth.net
would even be willing to buy two known working Grey bulb holders as well

Sounds like you are referring to those 1/4 turn (P.O.S.) mountings. As I remember, there was a safety recall on those things. Check with your nearest Saturn-friendly GM dealership, and you just might get it fixed at no cost ...

thanks for the info, we have had this car since new and besides the bcm replacement at a cost of 500$$ big ones we havent had any other issues, BUT wow this tail light is the biggest P-S I have seen.

Again Thanks

Default Update

I spoke with dealer the other day and was told that the computer shows that it was replaced under a "campaign" type situation sometime in 05. WOW I can tell you it was never replaced ever, But the good news is that the replacement parts for the two sides will only cost me 50.00 not bad overall but I do not think I should have to pay for their issue.

any other advise? Do they have to replace it even after all these years?

Thanks for all the imput.

have them print out the service invoice documenting the work they say they performed. If they can't they are full of it
