Did you ever change the plugs?

Gary,
I don't think he'll be doing a damn thing to that valve. Because now he doesn't have to. If that was even the issue. These engines don't last that long if you don't change the oil when you should. S car engines last even more not as long. Nice grammar

Yeah, I am not going to lap in place or do anything unless necessary
This car was a single owner and now it is owned by an irresponsible that has turned it into a 'beater with a heater'

I am guilty. I didn't find my previous thread, perhaps it was someplace else or a hijack on someone else.

If it keeps up I guarantee you that I will likely no longer participate out of respect for you and not wanting to inconvenience you.

Nope, still running the original AC Delco's that were installed when I was tasked with helping a former step daughter.
I am currently care less... that is the apathy that comes when I feel used and abused, I simply begin to care less...

regardless, I closed out my fault report as I now believe it to have been an intermittent, sticking valve that DID NOT REVEAL on a differential or dynamic compression test.

He's just cranky. Don't mind him.

Or, I'll do a bunch of random threads to irritate him 😂

I'm just cranky.
One of the many fringe benefits you get here at Saturn forum. Com.

For being as thoroughly disorganized a person as I am, and for being someone who takes a large dose of Adderall every morning as prescribed by my doctor, I simply cannot stand when people spray seven posts over three different threads about one issue. No it wasn't that bad here, but it to me demonstrates a lack of respect for the forum and the people that use it. The fact that I get bent out of shape is irrelevant. But I do.

There has been a large influx of users since the other site went down.

There's still a good share of people that post ion tech questions in the new member area, and Outlook questions in general tech. It's the same difference. If you (colloquial) can't take an extra 1.3 seconds out of your life to post in the correct category, you are disrespecting the forum.

As far as the new folks, it's nice to see renewed enthusiasm for these vehicles on the forum. Additional knowledge serves everyone's best interests.

Today I learned that s car injectors batch fire, not one at a time.

From someone rather new.

If you think you're being abused, go dig up some of my posts from 18 years ago. I could stifle 100% of my emotions regarding this forum, But then it wouldn't be fun for me anymore. It would just be another source of stress in my life. I need it as a stress relief. That's why I'm still here all these years later. And if, in being a release for me, I get a little sarcastic, belligerent, whatever, so be it. I allow the same from all members. We run wide open here. No infraction points. No stuffy moderator messages.

No personal attacks. No discriminatory remarks regardless of how funny they are. Put stuff in the right place. Keep stuff together. That's really all we ask here.

Great. Now I'm emotionally spent.
Think I'll go out in the garage and huff some Behr Forest Green Interior.

Get a Glade Airwick that plugs into the wall if you really are intent on killing your sense of taste, your nostrils (sense of smell) and any excess brain cells that may be misfiring...
Spoiler

OK yet another update on my (stepdaughters) 2003 Saturn Ion 2 with 2.2L, camel cloth interior, white paint (oxidized) ...
update on my misfire and spark plugs.
You guys are right once again. When the misfire (and running like poopy) returned, I did as suggested by one of you fine members and viewed the sparks. I removed, flopped the coil pack with the nipples pointed forward, zip tied the spark plugs into the boots, ran a ground wire common to all four plugs and remote cranked the engine with the ignition turned on.

I went all the way across town to Advanced Auto, because they carried the AC Delco 41105 sparks ($12 ea), and an NGK brand coil pack for $154 (FEB 2025 USD)
For $95 they had just the coils and another $36 for the boots and then it didn't have the ICM (90 day warranty)... so for $154 I got 3 year warranty, why not.

Thank you all for your support.
