Default Serpentine belt removal tool for 07 Saturn Ion-2 2.2

What tool can I use to remove the belt on this model? I purchased a tool that came with an extension but it doesn't allow me to spin enough to release the amount of tension needed to remove the belt, whether or not I use the angle extension part. I tried all the tools I have, which is just different length wrenches or whatever

Thanks

Edit: I forgot to mention I've tried using the tool from the top and bottom, no luck

The easiest way for me was to reach it from underneath using a Serpentine Belt Tool from Harbor Freight, however I peeled the rubber handle off and then cut the tool in half and put the rubber handle back on. Works perfectly.

Good Luck!

I started to do that with the tool I got from Amazon. Wish I would have since after I returned it they claimed i sent an empty package back and recharged me for it. Those bastards had the nerve to request a copy of my driver's license in order to reverse the damn charge. That was a first. For a $15 piece of crap that didn't even work! Might go to HF and cut the tool if it's similar

Thanks

That hole goes to the pully bolt but doesn't even line up with it. There is a square hole a few inches away from that where I would put a ratchet square but there's not enough room to get I'm there with a ratchet. Not sure what that hole in the frame is even for

Some people will make a tool that fits out of the square of a broken ratchet welded to a thin long bar. Kind of like the tools available commercially but allows you to use any shape of bar and any length. You could weld a 17° angle in it from two different pieces if that's what you needed to access the pulley bolt and be able to release the tension. It may only work for this vehicle but it works
