**** with todays market someone will try to fix or flip what used to be a parts car. There was a 60’s cutlass with no interior, missing glass, missing brightwork and a rotten frame around here for like 12k. We live in clown world now buddy. On the plus side ions stayed cheap.

That is all to true. I live in texas where truck tax is a real thing. A 95 Chevy with 350k will sell for 8500.
trucks with blown engines or trans go for 3500-5k.

Its just stupid

Billy
97 SC2 265K chassis
85K reman engine burns no oil
Pristine interior
Runs and idles perfectly
power pkg, cruise ABS Trac
4 hl disc

Gouged plastic on side.
Can still see reflection in the paint.

Needs tires and AC compressor and subframe

What should my asking price be and what should I accept?

I am well aware of the KBB anti-value. No need to rub it in. For the record, this is one of the reasons I still hate you.

I was thinking based on its full functionality and pristine interior, given its shortcomings like it won't pass inspection next year, something like 3K and take 2500 to someone who knows Saturns.

For you Billy, 24 97. The $3 discount is $1 each for the words I, hate, you. 👺👿🤡

DropDead 01-06-2022 05:43 PM

I wouldnt pay 2500 for any saturn. Only one ive paid more than 1k for is my redline. At 2700. And I paid to much for that.

Honestly where I live cars over say 10-15 years old are worth almost nothing. Like 90’s non collector cars are $1500 or less. There’s a few things that hold value (Sports cars, RWD coupes, diesel VW to a lesser extent). Like any lsj stockish car is between $2000 and $5000 depending on winter or summer. A 97 Saturn here is max $1200-1500 but so Is any other gm car of the era with 4 cylinders

derf 01-07-2022 08:15 AM

This is exactly the feedback I am seeking, so thank you both

NorthernTouch 01-07-2022 09:51 AM

No worries. I think the secret to this post is that isn’t worth selling which means keep it and do something stupid with it (maybe a little wuhan war whistle) and see how it does. I’ve blown more money stupider ways.
