My Youngest Daughter
Her drivers door lock stopped working via the key. So after a bit she bought the parts I told her were likely broken. I figured it had to be the rod retainer at one end or the other, so she bought both and the retainer that's holds the door handle in place. This morning I showed her the handle retainer, the torx fasteners that hold the door skin on. Told her how to remove the mirror, the door handle, and the door skin. Then, I went in the house, and left her to it. She came in and asked a few questions, off she went, took it apart, replaced both rod fasteners, lubed all the parts, then put it all back together after I double checked her work. All is 100%, and she feels good about herself.....me I'm proud as hell of her. Pictures to come soon. I have to get them from her phone to my tablet....

That's my Girl and her 2007 ION2 with 110,000 plus. Ain't she a Doll, and gets her hands dirty too. She told me this eve'n she want's to go pick'n the junk yard the next time I go. I'm like hell yes, lets do this.
Nice work, do you know how many women wanna work on cars these days? Not many. I had to force my wife to help me change the door on our L, but that was because it weighed 60 lbs and I couldn't possibly hold it and bolt it down simultaneously...
Seriously though, I share your pride. Hopefully, my son grows up that way...

That is awesome, Rj. Neither one of my kids wants to get their hands dirty. They're both computer nerds. Very intelligent, but lazy. It's refreshing to see a young woman not afraid to get her hands dirty. You did good with that one!
I watched her replace her her right front fender today, she is a do'er. She bought a silver fender at the junkyard with her dad, and replaced it while Rj and and I watched. She wanted to do it herself......she is so cool.
