Default I need help , please .

I have a 2006 ion manual , from every picture I can find , my clutch pedal assembly is identical to all of the others . I have removed 7 ( 6 , 10 mm nuts , 1 , 12 mm nut ) nuts and the assembly will not even pretend to be anywhere near being ready to come out so I can preform the procedure in the sticky with the #10 machine screw . As you might have guessed , there is far to much play in the pedal to activate the slave cylinder thereby allowing you to shift . If anyone can please shed some light on just how far I'm going to have to disassemble the steering wheel and dash , I will be eternally grateful .

2006 Ion clutch pedal removal/installation

See the above link for removing the clutch pedal. If you've removed 7 nuts, you've removed too many. You should be able to remove the pedal assembly from the car by removing the white clip, only 3 nuts, and disconnecting the master cylinder rod and the clutch safety switch.

Default Thank you .

Thank you very much , hopefully now I'll be able to make some progress on it tomorrow . From what I can tell , all I have left to do is pull the pivot pin then drill the retainer and pedal , install the # 10 machine screw and drill the pilot hole for the self tapping screw and reassemble every thing . Thank you again for your time and effort , it is greatly appreciated .
