Our 2003 Ion has the common problem of not starting for no apparent reason. We''ve had it six months and it''s done this about a dozen times.
It always starts after you wait a few minutes, but my concern here in Illinois, is being stranded in some nasty winter weather and no warmth. If this is a security problem with the Ion, can the security be disabled? I don''t care if I can never lock it or whatever.
Recently, when it didn''t start after paying for gas, I pushed it a couple car lengths out of the way and as soon as I got back in and tried again, it started. Could moving it or shifting to neutral from park and back have anything to do with this?
Love our Ion but this is a serious concern and we may have to trade it off.
