Default Clutch master cylinder went through firewall

Clutch master cylinder went through firewall looking for any suggestions. Not sure how it was held in place to begin with.

The master cylinder is inserted into the firewall from the engine side and rotated a quarter turn counter clockwise to lock it into place. In your picture, it looks like the perimeter of the opening is distorted and torn in a couple of places. Like someone didn't know how to release it (quarter turn clockwise) and pried hard enough to rip it out of the firewall.

I've owned the car since New and never have had the clutch master cylinder worked on. I'm guessing all these years and 250k miles have caused the sheet metal to bend and give way. I will try and bend back as best I can and reinstall the master cylinder.

How stiff is your clutch? Maybe it needs the clutch replaced also the firewall will also need some welding to repair it properly.

No, normal clutch. Certainly scared the crap out of me when it broke through and I was driving.
