19bonestock88's 04 Redline BUILD:finishing somebody else's project...
I drove the IRL today, and again the caliper stuck... I got sick of the smell, so I ordered a caliper... It'll be in my hands in the morning, on my way to work... Unfortunately, I will still have four days before being able to correct the issue... Probably not going to be able to make it to a doctor before the 30th though, due to work schedule and needing to fix my car...
Yup, caliper is in my hands, and I'm gonna attempt to change it before departing for work in the morning, so I'll be getting up at 5:30 or so(daybreak) to maximize time for issues to crop up... There shouldn't be any, but gremlins tend to sabotage any plans... Worst case scenario is I have to drive my truck to work... Or I don't get up in time and drive the car anyway... When I avoid the brake pedal(hypermiling), it doesn't act up... Literally, the dragging isn't bad until you pour the heat into the rotor, then it gets bad...
But the plan is to pre-fill the caliper and install it to minimize air bubbles(I likely won't have help; won't be able to bleed brakes), then take bleeder screw out and add fluid... Hopefully she will drive right tomorrow...
Wish me luck! (I'll need it)

make the wife help
autozone sells HELP brand "brake line plugs" that you stick into the banjo bolts when you are changing calipers. Limits fluid loss and air entrance. Not perfect but helps.

all depends on how you ask....
Marriage is no different than a long term relationship. In fact it IS a long term relationship.
It's built on mutual trust, respect, and a commitment to grow, share, and support each other.
Only difference is it's on paper, everything becomes "ours", and the tax savings are nice.
If you have allowed your partner to really "know you", then there shouldn't be a problem. If you've been holding back on who you are, get ready for a rollercoaster ride that jumps the tracks and slams into a rubber wall in a rubber room where you just bounce off the walls until one of you says no mas,

Well, the job is done... New caliper is on the car, bled, and test drove... It seems to do fine, other than the car pulling to the right(I need to check out rear alignment)... Heat seems fairly similar after driving, and repeated panic stops from 80mph... I might change the bracket too(a new one come with the caliper) and just return all the old crap for my core charge, but I'll have to borrow a wrench for the bracket, I didn't have one...
The job literally took me about 30 minutes, and the first ten was jacking the car up and getting the wheel off... I didn't have a wrench for the jack, so I used my 4-way tire tool, but could only go about a quarter turn at a time... I ended up finishing in time to have my wife help me bleed the brakes, which helped immensely, though they do seem to "gravity bleed" pretty well too...
