non starting Aura

Interpretation:
I think they are looking at the ECM, going "who the hell programmed this thing with what" and are starting anew with an OEM ECM that they will flash.
Maybe they tried a BCM relearn with the ECM that will not complete -- just like your experience w trying unsuccessfully to reset the security.
Prediction:
When they're done, putting in the new ECM and flashing it, it won't communicate w the BCM, which will then be condemned and replaced and the BCM relearn will be done then/again.
Then your car will run.
-----------------
If you want to potentially get a discount, drag this out until the end of the month. Service writers need to meet monthly service $$ quotas. Your bill will not be small, and any intelligent service writer will take 20% off the bill if he is under quota to get the 80% to count towards this month.
Don't give them any warning that payment might not happen until after you get paid on the 1st....until the last few days of the month (if they still have it)

That's pretty much average mileage in the PT's. Just like the Burb, it's a heavy vehicle with an undersized engine. Doesn't matter that it's turbo. I read about people claiming 27-30 mpg out of their N/A PT's and have to call BS. If they are, then they're never getting above 45mph.

I sold pt cruisers when they first came out. And the claim was high but reality was low. When I first got mine I was averaging 25-27 but have since dropped in the past year or so. I have a rough idle due to a misfire in cylinder 2 I can't seam to get corrected. I keep fouling the plug and short arching the wire.
