2009 Aura Fusebox: Proper Part number?
ok so im confused as to what the proper part number is for my fuse box in the engine compartment. im trying to replace it because at this point im pretty sure its the problem, ive checked everything else spent a ton of money getting it "diagnosed" and nothing has been found wrong. so its either the fuse box or a wire somewhere. when i check online im told the part number for my vin is 20822696 every site says its been discontinued and im essential SOL. however when i look at the part on my car its 25883021 see attached pictures. im not sure what to do at this point as i cannot afford to have a car payment and im really struggling to keep my head above water. dose anyone have any ideas?

What's your VIN?
we can't use it for anything...... And what year and flavor |
Your car has California emissions.3021 is the correct part number for your car. The other one you listed is for federal emissions.
Your 3021 part was superseded by 20822697. |

You can locate your part through car-parts.com
Here is an example from a search of 2009 aura 2.4 without hybrid California emissions https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sat...3a11ace63b.png The listings are from salvage yards all over the country. Put in your ZIP code on the initial search page. I'm sure all of them will ship anyway but you might get lucky and one yard might be near you. Starts off with 2009 Saturn Aura, then comes to the page below https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sat...2f684b7019.jpg Select the button I've indicated and you will get a bunch of results. Some of the prices are listed. Some are not. You can confirm California emissions by looking at the sticker under the hood with the emissions and model year, and likely the belt routing and AC system capacity. It's usually located on the front most top cross member under the hood. Yellow or white on a black background A lot of these auras had electrical issues. You might be better buying one from a collision car, as that would indicate that the fuse box was functioning properly right up until the crash Good luck |
its a 2009 saturn aura xe 2.4 liter non hybrid.

thanks ill check there and see if they have it. dumb question but can u use white lithium grease on these connections?
|
White lithium grease is a lubricant. It is not intended for use with electrical connections. Do not get it anywhere near your fuse box.
If there is corrosion, try electrical contact cleaner. If that doesn't work, sand it off gently with high grid sandpaper to expose clean metal. I suppose you could use dielectric grease to keep the connection dry and clean |
Please reread my last three posts as I have modified them slightly with corrections and important information
