Default Steering

Hey everyone, I'm here because I recently purchased an astra and it was sitting for 4 years. I was out driving today and I wad parallel parking and my steeri.g whent stiff and I could hear the pump and see oil on the ground. Obviosly it's either the power stearing pump or a hoase or the rack and Pinon set up. I won't be able to tear ot apart for a couple days but iv been looking for parts and I have had problems finding the pump. Also, I could use all the pointer on how to get it out, I have to replace the oil cooler as well so I'm hoping to just do it all at once.

It makes a difference: XR 3 door or 5 door with sport suspension and steering or an XR and XE 5 door without.

There are a couple lines/pipes that go to the rack, one of mine was corroded and leaked bad. Changed it out and been good since, mine was gm 93189020.

Good luck man!

Is it the XR with sport steering and suspension? Like the other guy said, it makes a difference.

Ya you efinitely have to do your homework, I usually go to a gm parts website like gmpartsdirect and it will tell you which one, or you need to research via VIN
