Default intake throttle body coolant hose

Hello evereyone ,

I have a Saturn astra 2008 xr with the following problem

I had a leakage from a quick connector, this connector has a hose who will passed by and is connect with the intake throttle body. I understand that this hose is for preventing icing. I love in a country who hasn't winter time, can I jammed the nipple with two component glue or this is not a good idea?

Unless the quick connect part is prohibitively expensive or can't be found in a junkyard/the internet, just replace the connector. I wouldn't think you'd want epoxy in constant contact with high temp coolant.

Ditto what Derf said.
Also, icing of the throttle body isn't just a cold weather thing. Really humid cool mornings and idling or very light throttle can do it too.
