The other day my sons 1992 saturn quit shifting. I could tell that the shift assembly had come loose from the cable. When I pulled theshift lever out I saw thata rubber grommet had dry rotted and broke up. The localSaturn parts department said I would have to buy the whole set of shift cablesat apriceof two hundred and fourty dollars.


Is there any way other than a junk yard to get the rubber grommet?


When I checked the junk yards most all the cables where already gone.
