Shes runnin a little hot

~ Changed the ECTS and connector - fixed the high idle problem for the
most part
~ Still need to change the cam cover gasket (I have it, waiting on
saturday)

~ The car runs hot, from a few minutes after I start it till I shut it off. It
works it''s way to 1/2 between C - H (quickly) and stays there. When you
shut the car off you can tell it is running hot.

~ The 2 lights above the temp gauge come on and stay on when you start
the car for awhile 20 minutes or so, then go out. then they come on
randomly and stay on for 5-10 minutes then go out.

~ I thought maybe water pump?
~ I thought thermostat (Top radiator hose is soft, even when hot)
~ Plenty of coolant

Thoughts

~ Still looking for a service manual fpr this car

Good call

Drove home from work, pulled in the driveway.
Car running temp 1/2 way to hot.
Got out and checked no radiator fan running.
Turned car off... waited a few minuted, no fan kicked on.

next step?

Check for a blown fuse first, then start inspecting the connections to the fan harness or a bad wire somewhere.

If this gets nothing it might be a relay

Depending on the year of your car, the fan may not come on until the gauge gets in a higher position.

What year is the car?

The fan should come on about when the gauge gets to the 3/4 mark.
