Possible Oil Leak? What do you think?
Checking the oil yesterday, I noticed the engine cover was covered in oil. I had the oil changed recently, so maybe the changing place was a bit sloppy at the top, but then I noticed more oil below. I took some pictures before and after I cleaned off the engine cover. I'll keep an eye on it for a bit.
Some things I'm thinking about: Oil cap has lost its seal. Leak around that hose next to the cap. Leaky gasket.
What do you folks think?

Did you try checking to see if that corner of the valve cover is tight? It kind of looks like a slight leak, but since you have no before or after pics since the oil change, it could well be a sloppy "tech". Check your PCV valve too.
looks like, per Rube, a slight cam cover gasket corner leak. Check the bolt with a torque wrench set to the proper torque--do not over torque or it is likely to leak worse.
The rest looks like a very sloppy pour / a "bloop" of air going into the pouring vessel causing the flow path to deviate, miss the fill hole, then creep as you heated the engine up while driving. The non contiguous spots are again someone very sloppy with the oil or an oil soaked something touching the area.
If your filler cap had lost its seal, you'd likely have oil everywhere and in all directions.

Thanks guys. Like I've said, I've cleaned the top cover and will see if anything else oils up. I'll look at the bolts when I can. Weather is supposed to get cold and icy this weekend and I have nowhere to work on it than in the parking lot.
The parking lot is the perfect spot. Out in the cold, tending to your Saturn.
A public demonstration of your devotion.
Some may laugh.
Ask them if they've had a car payment in the last decade on their daily driver.
Shuts people up real quick.

Yeah I hear ya Derf. My upstairs neighbor paid extra for a garage...for her brand new Audi A4. And yes, her personality fits the typical Audi Driver. I'm sure her monthly payments are pretty close if not higher than the rent at these apartments.
Fake air intake I do believe unless he has something very nice under the hood.
Like a small block.
Don't remember any high performance version of the Cav.
Actually, don't remember anything positive about the Cav.
Also, I didn't know anyone still used those windshield static thangs to let the driver in front of you know what was following him (but backwards).
Yep, engineering type

Let's not forget the spoiler to keep the weight on the rear and off the drive wheels at high speed.
Edit: If you take all the goofy crap off that car, it is pretty clean to be close to ten years old.
