Well, I drove my 99 Saturn SC2 to a gas station, and when I tried to leave, the car wouldn''t start. Not only that, but it wouldn''t even go into battery-powered mode, with th exception of the odometer blinking. However, whenever I am attempting to turn the car on, the panic alarm goes off for about 20-30 seconds. When we tried to jump the car, it still didn''t start. I would think that its just the battery, however if that was the case wouldn''t the horn not go off?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does it do any more when you are trying to jump it. Such as having all the interior lights one, ect. When you are trying to jump, is the car trying to turn over?

A few more lights turned on for a few seconds, but it was short lived. However, the panic horns still go off and I''ve been messing with it here and there for about a day now.

Have you looked into the fuses and relays. That would be where id start. After that id check the battery terminals. They can easily corrode causing a bad connection. Then check the main wires and grounds.

try looking at the grounds and power to your battery make sure they are tight to the batt. plus the engine /body. Something like that happen to me in my dakota drove to a friends house to pick something up, and when i wanted to leave nothing happen but i did have battery power, and in that case my fuel pump power wire broke off right above my gas tank. But i wouldnt think that would happen to you.Edited by: radar2k
