Cleaning Out Gas Tank Venting System
Hey folks,
I was wondering if anyone is familiar with clearing the gas tank venting system on an S coupe.
My gas gauge had seemingly been reading WAY LOW. I have always pumped my gas with the "handle retention" clip engaged on the max setting with no problems.
Apparently, after 253K, there is now apparently a problem. Happens at different stations, so not believed to be related to flow rate when handle retention clip is engaged on high.
If I slow pump it (control by hand) and listen to the pitch of the fuel filling, I can easily get another 3+ gallons into the car.
Anyone out there with experience? I've never had to do this on any of my other rides.
Thanks

I would think the canister purge valve sticking closed would through a handy code so I wouldn't have to think about it. I'll go after the charcoal canister first, but obviously check both while I have it on a lift to replace the last of the 4 LCAs on my Saturn and my former 95 SC2
Thank you as always, sir.
