Download the codes stored in the vehicle's computer, and post them here. Usually, AutoZone (or similar store) will do this for you as a 'freebie'......

How many miles on the car?

Use an OEM saturn PCV valve -- aftermarket ones let too much oil pass.

The part you are referring to connects the PCV valve to the intake so that blow by gases that find their way into the crankcase get recirc'd to the throttle body to be burned. I believe it is a dealer only part.

To be honest, the above likely won't help significantly. Assuming there is no leak, oil control rings are probably seized in place on the pistons and therefore the oil is getting into the cylinders.

You can try an MMO soak (search the forum for MMO or MMO soak) to loosen them up.

Keep us posted

If you bought a part from AutoZone,NAPA,Checker and not the dealer.......it's aftermarket. Buring oil can be caused by many things, and at the rate your burning oil I'd say RINGS.

Hello. I have a 97 saturn sc2, while replacing water pump, I removed spark plug wire and found that the hole was full of oil. What has happened? Can anyone tell me? The car runs fine.

Cam cover gasket is leaking, allowing oil to seep into spark plug well(s).

Replace cam cover gasket and plugs.
Inspect plug wire boots as oil usually trashes these too.

Hey bro, if that hose is shot I ll tell you how to make one. Mine copped out too. Get a piece of high pressure fuel line (or similar hose would work) and 2 L-brass fittings. Basically dude, take the hose out to youre car and cut a small piece and connect it to the hose connector on the valve cover, attach the right angle brass fitting to that, and attach roughly a six inch piece to the fitting. Then add another brass fitting to that end, cut another small piece hook it up to youre intake and its done. Those hoses need to be ordered from Sat and they are kinda expensive for what they are because its a moulded vacum line. My car uses the same amount of oil too. I thought it was burning oil. Check youre plugs too be sure. Mine were oil free, nice and clean.
