93 sat SC2 starting issue

I have a 1993 saturn SC2, twim cammer, auto tranny, full tank of gas. It has a problem, it cranks and cranks but won't fire.My snap-on scanner is not picking up any codes. does anyone have a solution

1) Have you replaced the ECTS (engine coolant temp sensor)?
If the original is in there, replace with brass tipped design and replace connector as well. This is a must irrespective of your current issue (though it may be related)
2) Have you checked for fuel and spark (the basics)?
Could be Crank position sensor (CPS)
