I am assuming the egr for the dohc is the same as the one for the sohc. Is this correct?

2001 SC2, 5spd, 1.9L DOHC

Yes.

Have you tried cleaning yours? How many miles on the car? These can often be cleaned, thus extending the life of the part and saving you the replacement cost.

I haven''t tried cleaning it yet, I just figured after 185,000 kms (110,000 miles)ish she could just be replaced for the extra little bit of money. Maybe I will take it off this weekend and give it a quick look. Check out the actualy condition before jumping the gun!

Thanks

The car or the EGR valve? I''ve bought Saturns for less than the cost of a linear EGR valve.
