2000 Saturn S Series 3-Door
I've had my Saturn for little over a month. I'm having problems with losing power. It happens at any speed, but mostly 50mph - 60mph. Sometimes I can find the zone, like between 55mph - 60mph where it smooths out. One day I had to drive down freeway about 50 miles and it chugged (literally lerching) the whole way. Next day on the way back it was fine.
Any ideas from you Saturn experts of things to check.
It has 112,000 miles on it.

Just for the heck of it .... pull one plug wire off at a time. If one or more come up soaked in oil then you'll need to replace the cam cover, plug wires, and install new plugs from your nearest SATURN retailer. Now if you just bought new plugs from BillsBaitShop&AutoParts you now know you need to buy plugs from your local Saturn Parts counter. Another thing to check would to pull one plug wire at a time from the coil packs. If one or more posts on a coil pack is covered with a white powder it's time to replace the coil packs, plug wires, and a set of new plugs from your nearest SATURN retailer.

Thanks sw2cam. Day after your reply managed to grab some time w/a friend who has the diagnostic computer. It came up w/the codes for the oxygen sensor. Hoping that's the problem, just paid $95 for it (Denso).
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
